Social enterprises are run by entrepreneurs who provide socially orientated services and aim to make a profit.
As the sector develops the need for senior executives and specialist help grows. New funds mean that investment/grant amounts can now be in five figures.
The demands for adequate capitalisation, to provide national services under the Con-Lib Big Society plans, will require in depth business expertise.
